It is amazing to see how God worked in different cities to start churches. At the same time there were opponents, people who oppose the message of the Gospel and will do anything to see it stopped. This is still true today. We, however, have been given a mission by God. We stand with Paul and Barnabas, letting others know of Jesus. “Through many tribulations we enter the kingdom of God.” The difficulties must not stop us from proclaiming the good news. Notice then that they went back through the towns appointing elders (by hand vote) and telling the churches what God was doing. Telling people what God is doing now is important. Without some evidence of God at work people become discouraged. Have you told someone what God has done for you lately?
